Better Than WinAmp?

QCD screenshotThe Quintessential Player (a.k.a. QCD) is a feature rich media player for Microsoft Windows. First of all, it supports all popular audio formats you could think of including MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, and CDs--so you don't have to go through the painstaking process of converting your files ever again. Another feature that attracts users to it is its highly skinnable interface with a robust plug-in architecture.

As lightweight as it is (installer's only 2.3MB), QCD performs CD Ripping and Encoding, streams Internet Radio, and can Clean and Tag all your audio files. Also, for the best music recognition, it uses Gracenote of iTunes fame. Another plus would be that it even plays videos. If you think those features are good, well, that is just "scratching the surface," as its creators proudly exclaim.

What makes the deal even greater is that QCD is freeware. It is both free of cost and free of any bundled secrets. Better than WinAmp? Just try it out and you decide!
